As UX researchers, we know that it’s simply not enough to conduct great user interviews by ourselves - the best way to get impact from our research is to start sharing those micro-interactions, doubtful user comments and other feedback with our wider teams. You can’t automate empathy!
Clips has been one of our biggest customer requests and roadmap features for a while. We know many of you have been making screen recording copies of your research, exporting those to your desktop and chopping them up in Quicktime and iMovie to share with others. Now, you’ll be able to do all of this in a couple of clicks from right inside PingPong and drop the clips into your Slack channels, presentations and research repositories. Clipping is super speedy - you’ll have access to shorter clips within a couple of seconds of making the clip.
Since we first announced Clips back in August, we’ve been ironing out the kinks, tweaking the UX and slowly ratcheting up performance and reliability. Now we’re happy to say that Clips is out of beta and ready for prime time! The functionality itself is baked into our core product and is available to all of our customers for new recordings, and also many recordings you might have made in the last few weeks.
This is a big step forwards for us, made possible by our ground-up rewrite of the post-recording analysis interface in ReactJS, which we’ve been working on since the summer. We’re excited about the platform this gives us for releasing new features as we move into 2020. Stay tuned!
